Kio Stark

I’m the author of When Strangers Meet: How People You Don't Know Can Transform You (2106), Don’t Go Back to School (2013), and the novel Follow Me Down (2011). Most recently I’ve worked on projects with Google Creative Lab (not viewable), and prior to that as the Senior Producer for Data News in the WNYC Radio newsroom, with a Peabody Award-winning team finding stories in data and telling visual stories. My checkered past includes assignment and editing stories for the journalism & code site Source and 15 years of agency work on the interactive side, which began to look a lot like product and UX design. I’ve also done research and ethnographic work for my books, for journalism, documentary, and community research in a multi-city game project.
